Muang Kulaypan Hotel is Thai life with an avant-garde twist. The two-story, grey hotel has no lobby, but an intriguing sunken meeting area that faces the ocean. Staff glide silently about the hotel in black, soft focus chiffons and silks, serving morsels on dishes edged with ancient Sanskrit.
